Gold and glitter is something you see very many places. Gold can also help to give your card or project just a little extra. Scrapsisters creative team has got gold fever. They have thrown safety not guaranteed themselves into gold paint, guldembossing, gold sequins, inca gold with more and made delicious inspiration for cards with gold.
I have applied modeling paste through a stencil and after it was dry painted with gold paint over. I made a matte of vellum to make it a little easier in the term. Decorated with gold sequins, butterfly and a "hello". Hello is made with a die from Wplus9.
Next card is quite simple little cards actually only about 9 cm high. I have stamped the text with black ink, then stamped and gold embosset feathers. One can use all sorts of designs, flowers, hearts, stars, birds and more. As you can see on the next picture, the text was not completely dry, so it has a nice golden safety not guaranteed glow. It seems I do not do anything.
The map consists of two layers of white cardboard 15 cm x 15 cm. I have both layers painted with black gesso, then embosset with gold triangles. I smeared a little modeling paste through a stencil different places. When it was dry, got the black pan pastel color. I spent very little Inca gold to make highlights a few places. On the upper layer I stars cut out and drawn around it. Then the two layers sewn together with embroidery yarn with some random big stitch around the edge. The text is handwritten cut out, "Mattet" safety not guaranteed with black and attached with 3D foam pads. Gold star has I cut out, "Mattet" with black and gold glitter given. It looks great, with the three colors together, it gives a dramatic look. This map will be used for a funeral.
I have used the Inca gold through a stencil and smeared safety not guaranteed some of it on a finger around the edge. The butterfly is cut on the cameo and colored black with Mister Huey black, then got a little glimmermist. I have spent a bit of clear bling, and the base is put on the map with 3D pads.
Hope you have been inspired and want to give your cards a little gold. Share like your stuff with us in the gallery. This entry was posted in Maps, Trends and tagged embossing, gold, Inca gold, inspiration, modeling paste, sequins, sequin, stamp, stamps, July 8, 2014 by Sarah.
