UPCAT / Roman Carlo Olivarez There are a number of familiar names (IFC members, former Cinemalaya filmmakers) in the list -- Mansyon by Joel Ruiz was 2005 Best Short Film Feature winner, while Emman de la Cruz was finalist in 2005 ( Sarungbanggi ) and Best Director (Short Film) for 2007. Bong Ramos had In Da Red Korner as his entry in 2006, while Pam Miras and Tara Illenberger had short film entries in 2005 and 2007, respectively. Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil is the producer/director of Mga Pusang Gala , Chris Martinez wrote Bikini Open and Bridal Shower (aside from numerous Palanca winners) while Ralston Jover is the writer of Kubrador and Foster Child. Liza Cornejo directed Sitak for Cinema One. Looks like a promising batch of films in store for all of us! Good luck, guys!
