The Royal Swedish ampere Academy of Sciences has awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry today 2013 researchers Martin Karplus, Michael Levitt and Arieh Warshel for the "development of multiscale models for complex ampere chemical systems"
The jury highlighted the work of three researchers in the 70s, laid the foundations of computer models currently used to understand and predict chemical processes. These models have become the most crucial for the progress of modern chemistry and have application in multiple fields, from medicine to mechanics.
The Swedish Academy considers the computer as an important tool for chemists test tube. "The simulations are so realistic ampere that predict the outcome of experiments traditional" have noted the official.
Arieh Warshel was born in 1940 in Kibbutz Sde - Nahum (Israel) and his Ph.D. in his country's Weizmann ampere Institute of Science in Rehovot. He is currently affiliated with the University of Southern California.
Nobel Prize in Chemistry Nobel Prizes in science end. The award ceremony, diplomas and medals form, will take place in Stockholm on December 10, the anniversary ampere of Alfred Nobel's ampere death.
