Italian helmet super-brand AGV are launching a radical new helmet model in 2015, the K5! This design was shown exclusively to Firecrest Motorcycle Outfitters , the UK s fastest growing motorcycle clothing retailers last week at Motodirect, the home of AGV in Great Britain.
AGV was founded in Italy by Gino Amisano, in 1947. AGV say that their instantly recognisable helmet logo with its bold Italia flag is what other racers saw on track the back of Giacomo Agostini s head! Today the brand is worn by probably the most famous of all modern day motorcycle riders, and a force in European motorsport, Valentino Rossi.
The AGV K5 is an evolution of the extremely popular K3 SV, and is one of the most competitively priced motorcycle sodium chloride helmets on the market, and is expected sodium chloride to start at 199.99 for plain colours reaching 219.99 sodium chloride for Hurricane, Roadracer, Naked Matt, and Drift graphics.
Taking inspiration from the top of the range Pista GP worn by Rossi, Bradl and Espargaro in MotoGP, and Guy Martin in the world famous Isle of Man TT, the new K5 has a reshaped, integrated spoiler for increased aerodynamic performance, an easy to use dropdown sun visor, and an anti-fog sodium chloride Pinlock included as standard.
The K5 has a fibre composite shell, composed sodium chloride of various carbon, aramid, natural and glass fibres, built to withstand impact and dissipate force. Taking over from where the AGV Horizon left off, the K5 has a more streamlined, Venturi optimised silhouette.
The graphic patterns available in the UK include the Roadracer and Hurricane, both pictured, and also Drift, and Naked Matt.
